The Dharma Takes Root in Boulder
Great Dharma Chan Monastery
Situated on a pristine 35-acre site in Boulder, Colorado with the majestic Rocky Mountains as a backdrop, the newly completed Great Dharma Chan Monastery is an ideal place for practicing meditation and learning the Dharma.
Every aspect of construction, from site development to design and building, was done to be sustainable and mindful of the natural environment, protecting the local wetlands and ecology. The monastery received an Engineering Excellence Award from the Colorado Chapter of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) in 2022. It is an indispensable part of the Buddhist community in Boulder.
